I have been awaiting its arrival amid the 100 plus degree SoCal weather, and it is finally here. Welcome to the official start of fall! Although I will still experience another month of warm weather, there is so much promise and joy in this new season.

Autumn represents a time of transition and change. It is an opportunity to stay put for a little bit and give into the state of hygge (a Scandinavian word to describe a quality of coziness and comfort). Fall is all about the joy of gathering with friends and family whether it’s passing out goodies to trick-or-treaters, baking a pumpkin loaf with the bestie, or breaking bread with loved ones over a Thanksgiving meal. I genuinely feel happier during this season. Anyone else feel the same?

And of course, the fall fashion. Cooler weather encourages sartorial creativity. I can’t wait to share more of what has been inspiring me. I spotted this sweater a few months ago (yes, in the dead of summer) and was immediately drawn to its unique but stylish color combination. It is slightly oversized and made of the softest chenille material, and looks a bit different between the front and back. This outfit was perfect for my recent visit to Park City.

I paired this perfect sweater with indigo skinny jeans and sturdy pale pink, block heels. I love just how simple and comfortable this outfit is while still remaining interesting. I’ll be wearing it all season long whether it’s with black jeans, leather shorts with tights, or layered with an oatmeal colored cardigan.

I’d love to hear what you’re looking forward to this fall and what has been inspiring you. Wishing you a wonderful weekend! I’ll be celebrating friends at a wedding, going to the hairstylist (hello, fall color!), and pulling out throw pillows and candles to cozy up my home.
