Hello there! It has been a hectic couple of weeks here at The Prudence Profile. There have been so many exciting projects and changes in the works that I’ll be rolling out in the next couple months—I cannot wait to share it with you all.
What I can share with you is that I was recently nominated for TWO local awards, which was such a wickedly wild thing to find out. I am nominated for Best of Beauty and Best of Social Media for the Best of Creative Bakersfield. Yes, little ol’ me. The Prudence Profile is approaching her one year anniversary in a couple weeks, and I feel just as renewed and passionate about what we have going on here. My goal has always been to connect, educate, and encourage others to harness their personal power through style and beauty. The aim is far from a vain or shallow origin, but to self-empower women to be confident in your skin and be bold and take control of your self-expression.

Guess what? When I first tried on this dress, I wasn’t certain if I was going to keep it. Styling it, adjusting the ties, and really seeing it on has changed my mind completely. This dress has single-handedly reignited my adoration for the color red. Its unabashedly bright and the polka dot floral print echos the style of the 90s. I like its modest midi/maxi length and interesting design details such as the buttons down the front, two lateral ties, and subtle volume at the shoulders. The defined waist, V-neck, and additional corset-like ties in the back all contribute to giving this long dress shape.
I can imagine beautiful spring and summer days in this dress with leather sandals, a denim jacket, and tousled hair. Or, I can add a pair of espadrilles for an outdoor wedding. Either way, I’m certain some good memories are going to be had in this fun one.
This exact dress is currently out of stock at Free People, but I found the same dress in a mini length and five different prints here. This one has a similar shape and is in solid red.
